About the Bootcamp
The SouMed Bootcamp Series is a hands-on, beginner-friendly tech training initiative designed to equip young adults in Liberia with essential digital skills for today’s world. We believe in creating opportunities where tech is not only understood—but also used for growth, problem-solving, and security.
This multi-day bootcamp focused on real-world, practical skills and was open to students, youth leaders, early professionals, and anyone eager to boost their tech confidence.
Workshop Sessions
Our recent bootcamp featured three core sessions:

Session 1: PC Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Participants learned how to identify and fix common computer issues, clean up slow PCs, and perform basic upgrades—saving time and money. -
Session 2: Protecting Yourself Online – A Digital Safety Guide
This session introduced the fundamentals of personal cybersecurity, including how to spot scams, secure passwords, and stay safe on public Wi-Fi. -
Session 3: Introduction to Digital Tools for Productivity
We explored tools like Google Workspace, Canva, Trello, and simple AI tools that help with time management, content creation, and business organization.
Each session included interactive demos, practical challenges, and mentorship from experienced SouMed facilitators.

What’s Next?
Due to the overwhelming interest and impact of this series, the SouMed Bootcamp will now be held at least twice a year—with plans to expand into more communities and schools.
